Process Engineer

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Process Improvement & Project Management Consultant to lead enterprise-wide process improvement initiatives, optimize business operations, and support strategic project execution. This role is responsible for analyzing, designing, implementing, and continuously improving business and technology processes while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence.

The ideal candidate possesses strong expertise in process mapping, project management, organizational change management, Lean methodologies, and healthcare operations, with the ability to influence stakeholders across all organizational levels.

Key Responsibilities

Process Improvement & Business Analysis

Analyze existing business and operational processes to identify improvement opportunities.

Gather, document, and evaluate current workflows against desired future-state processes.

Design, document, and implement standardized business processes using process mapping methodologies.

Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies to streamline operations.

Develop process metrics, establish performance baselines, and monitor ongoing effectiveness.

Create and maintain process documentation, procedures, templates, and operational guidelines.

Facilitate process design workshops and cross-functional process improvement sessions.

Conduct process testing and quality assurance to ensure compliance with organizational standards.

Interpret testing results and recommend corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Project & Portfolio Management

Lead and coordinate complex cross-functional projects from initiation through implementation.

Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, risk assessments, and stakeholder communication strategies.

Monitor project performance, milestones, deliverables, and financial tracking.

Manage competing priorities while ensuring timely delivery of strategic initiatives.

Support portfolio management activities and project governance processes.

Provide post-implementation support, issue resolution, and lessons learned documentation.

Organizational Change Management

Support organizational change initiatives by developing implementation and communication plans.

Train business users on new processes, tools, and best practices.

Collaborate with leadership to promote process discipline and operational excellence.

Influence stakeholders across multiple business units to ensure successful adoption of new processes.

Documentation & Reporting

Interview stakeholders to document business requirements and workflows.

Prepare executive-level reports, dashboards, and project status updates.

Maintain process documentation and ensure compliance with corporate standards.

Develop implementation roadmaps and continuous improvement recommendations.

Additional Skills

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of progressive Project Management experience, preferably within the healthcare or health insurance industry.

Experience leading enterprise-level process improvement initiatives.

Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Fully bilingual (English & Spanish).

Preferred Qualifications

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification (or equivalent).
