Middle School Substitute Teacher

Description The Middle School Substitute Teacher is responsible for operating a class (grades 5-8) in the absence of the regular teacher. Essential Functions Maintains discipline and classroom control that fosters a safe and positive environment for all students and staff in accordance with school policies Implements lesson plans, while ensuring the integrity of academic time and in a manner which motivates students to learn and participate Organize students for effective instruction Completes a Substitute Teacher Report Form for the regular classroom teacher Collects and places students’ papers in regular teacher’s desk Complies with and supports school regulations and policies Performs other related duties as assigned by the school Head Requirements Bachelor’s degree or post graduate work in subject matter and/or counseling preferred Proficient in Mac (Apple) products and instructional web based tools A minimum of five years teaching and administration experience in an independent school environment Excellent verbal and written communications skills Demonstrated leadership and facilitative skills Ability to use basic office equipment Supports Shorecrest’s Mission and Core Values Contact information Name Beth Rauman Phone View phone number on click.appcast.io #J-18808-Ljbffr Theuniversityunion
