TITLE: Water System Operator

SALARY: $47.47 - $57.76 per hour

SCHEDULE: Saturday & Sunday, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

OVERVIEW:

Operational Technical Services (OTS) is a leading water and wastewater staffing provider. We’re hiring a Water System Operator to maintain and operate water treatment and distribution systems, ensuring reliable and safe water service through control systems, maintenance, and emergency response.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitor and control systems via SCADA, respond to alarms, and adjust equipment.
• Perform routine water treatment, chemical adjustments, and system maintenance.
• Respond to customer concerns and coordinate repairs.
• Maintain logs, record water quality data, and prepare reports.
• Inspect and calibrate equipment, perform water sampling and analysis.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience with potable water treatment and distribution systems.
• Knowledge of water chemistry, pumps, chlorination, and control equipment.
• California Grade III Water Treatment and Distribution Operator Certificates.
• California Driver’s License.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, work at heights, and work in environments with chemicals and noise.
