Experienced Automotive Technician | $32–$45/Flag Hour | No Weekends

55 Tires & Service is hiring an experienced A/B-Level Automotive Technician in South St. Louis County.

This position is for a strong B-Level or growing A-Level technician who can produce quality work, follow a process, and wants to keep getting better.

You do not need to be perfect on paper.

You do need to be reliable, productive, honest, coachable, and serious about fixing vehicles correctly.

We are not hiring because we are slow.

We are hiring because we are a busy 9-bay tire and full-service automotive repair shop with strong tire, alignment, maintenance, diagnostic, and repair volume. We need another solid technician to help us keep up.

WHAT WE OFFER

• $32–$45 per flagged hour, based on skill, experience, production, and overall fit
• Sign-on bonus available for the right candidate

• Brakes

• Alignments
• Maintenance

• HVAC
• Basic electrical
• Basic diagnostics
• Vehicle inspections
• Domestic, Asian, and some European vehicles

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You do not have to be a master technician.

You do need to be:

• Able to document findings clearly
• Able to communicate with advisors and teammates
• Able to work in a busy shop without creating chaos
• Willing to keep learning
• Serious about doing the job right

REQUIREMENTS AND PREFERENCES

• Prior automotive repair experience
• Missouri State Inspector License preferred
• If you do not currently have a Missouri State Inspector License, you must be willing and able to obtain it within the first 60–90 days of employment
• We will support the right technician through the inspector license process
• ASE certifications are a plus, not required
• Valid driver’s license
• Own tools preferred
• Strong work ethic
• Good attitude

TRAINING AND GROWTH

We invest in technicians who want to get better.

Paid training opportunities are available through BG, Garage Gurus, TechFix, Vision KC, and other industry training. We can also support the right technician in getting or maintaining a Missouri State Inspector License.

If you want to grow from B-Tech to A-Tech, or from A-Tech into stronger diagnostics, we want to build that path with you.

Labor-guide repair jobs may include additional flagged-hour opportunity through Tekmetric. Menu-priced and canned jobs are handled separately, and we explain the pay plan clearly up front.
