Description Assess patients across multiple age groups-children, adults, and seniors-utilizing both standardized assessments and observational practices. Craft personalized therapeutic plans that encompass immediate needs and long-term objectives related to communication, cognition, or swallowing. Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, and physicians to establish cohesive treatment strategies. Provide education to patients and their families to enhance their treatment and progress beyond office visits. Assist with some inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring a continuum of care throughout the recovery process. Keep thorough and timely documentation in compliance with state regulations and organizational standards. Engage in ongoing professional development and peer collaboration to remain up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not yet been attained. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hiring.
