Desired Qualities and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (state-specific or eligibility for certification required)
- Previous experience in developing and modifying Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Strong classroom management abilities with adaptable communication skills
- Knowledge of evidence-based instructional strategies and interventions
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and administrators
- Current knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
Key Responsibilities:

- Provide direct instruction in a variety of settings, including resource and inclusive classrooms
- Track and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as necessary
- Maintain timely and accurate records, including progress notes and required documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student-centered planning discussions
