School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) | Whittier, California

Step into a pivotal role supporting student wellness as a Registered Nurse for an arts-focused school community. You'll work a highly adaptable schedule-totaling about 20 hours across the full school year-so you can balance your personal and professional commitments with ease. The assignment runs from August 10, 2026 through May 27, 2027.


Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required-must be current and in good standing
• Experience working in a school environment strongly preferred
• Comfortable managing health needs across a diverse caseload, including Special Education students
• Independent, self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision (no on-site training will be provided)
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct vision, hearing, and scoliosis screenings for students
• Provide general nursing care and manage day-to-day health needs on campus
• Maintain accurate health records in compliance with regulations and school policies
• Collaborate with staff and administration to ensure student health and safety
• Serve as a point of contact for health-related concerns, supporting both students and parents
