About the Position

• Site Medical Director opportunity in a Level III Trauma Center
• Location: Newburgh, New York
• Approximately 55,000 annual ED visits
• ️ 23 ED beds + 8 Fast Track beds
• Epic EMR
• ‍⚕️ 13 full-time physicians + 9 full-time APPs
• 53 hours of physician coverage + 37 hours of APP coverage
• Opportunity to lead clinical operations, process improvement, strategy, metrics, and quality initiatives
• Teaching opportunities with Internal Medicine residency rotations
• Opportunity to help shape the future of the Emergency Department and support a new-build ER project

Requirements

• Board certification/eligibility in Emergency Medicine
• Physician leadership experience preferred
• Ability to provide strong clinical and administrative leadership
• Comfortable working in a high-acuity/trauma environment
• Commitment to approximately 48–72 clinical hours per month while fulfilling Medical Director responsibilities

Benefits

• $375,000–$475,000 compensation range
• $290,000/year SMD stipend
• $225/hr day rate | $240/hr night rate
• $60,000 start-date bonus for a 2-year commitment, subject to approval
