Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med-Surg Ortho, Client Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum Years of Experience Required License: Current Wisconsin RN License Certifications: NIHSS and CPR/BLS Must-Have: - Current Wisconsin RN License - NIHSS Certification - CPR/BLS Certification Description: We are seeking experienced nurses. Candidates must possess a current Wisconsin RN License, NIHSS, and CPR/BLS certifications. This position may require floating to other units. Candidates will be expected to work every other weekend and holiday. The shift will be 12 hours, from 6:30 AM to 7 PM. Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process and collaborating with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients. Nurses will administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, standards of care, and State laws/practice acts. Documentation must be performed according to standards of care. Candidates will develop, initiate, and execute a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient as prescribed by a Physician and/or hospital policy, including patient and family instruction. Participation in department or unit performance improvement activities may be required, which could include shared governance. Nurses will utilize clinical expertise to guide other units or departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care. Critical thinking should be applied regarding patient safety and patient experience, with escalation to the appropriate chain of command as necessary. Holiday coverage is required.
