Job Description: Job Summary Responsible for providing ancillary non-clinical supportive services to residents in coordination with the nursing team and resident care plans while certification is pending. Supports the nursing team by assisting with resident needs and maintaining a homelike environment. Promotes and protects resident rights throughout service delivery. Ensures all hands-on care is performed by licensed nursing staff. Contributes to resident comfort and well-being during training period. Essential Functions Provides non-clinical supportive care to residents by addressing non-clinical needs, responding to call lights, and notifying nursing staff of clinical concerns. Educates residents and families about meal times, activities, and customer service-related information. Removes soiled linens, cleans and sanitizes mattresses, makes beds, and ensures proper handling and disposal of linens. Assists with collecting meal trays and water pitchers, transporting them to the kitchen, and replacing water pitchers as directed. Cleans and disinfects resident equipment such as shower chairs, wheelchairs, and walkers, and promptly reports defective equipment to the charge nurse. Transports residents via wheelchair to activities, beauty shop, or front entrance for discharge, and provides one-on-one interaction and observation as delegated. Answers and transfers telephone calls professionally and interacts courteously with residents, families, and coworkers. Follows directions from nursing supervisors and charge nurses, completing delegated tasks promptly and courteously. Performs other duties as assigned. Education Requirement High school diploma or equivalent experience Experience Requirement 0-1 years of experience in a healthcare, clinical setting, or a relevant area. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. All experience must be paid and in the same related field.
