RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work night shifts in Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Patient ratio: 6-7 patients on nights and weekends
• Care for adults and geriatrics with medical PCU patients and some overflow med/surg
• Common diagnoses include CHF, new onset AFib, COPD, and pneumonia
• Required to work every other holiday and weekend coverage
• Float within hospital when needed and may float to sister facilities within 10-mile radius
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Valid PA license or Compact license required
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Skills include arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care, chest tubes, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, cardiac and vasoactive drip management, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, pacemaker care, pre/post cardiac procedures, tracheostomy care, wound care, and rapid response team utilization
• Must complete fingerprinting within 24-48 hours of signing and 15-panel drug screen
• Clock in/out using badge with supervisor-signed timesheets required

This healthcare facility operates a 32-bed Progressive Care Unit providing intermediate-level care between intensive care and general medical floors. The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams. The organization maintains high standards for patient care and utilizes modern technology including cardiac telemetry and advanced monitoring equipment to support complex medical patients.
