Overview
Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Travel) role in San Luis Obispo, California. Start date 08/31/2026 for a 13-week assignment. Weekly pay range is $522–$570 per week, with guaranteed hours of 40 per week. Shift options include rotating day/evening coverage; typical 5x8 schedules with M-F start times, plus potential 4x10s as needed. This travel assignment is in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting and is managed by Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Circulate in the Operating Room during surgical procedures, coordinating equipment, supplies, and staff to support the surgical team
- Maintain patient safety and aseptic technique throughout the perioperative period
- Prepare patients for surgery, including positioning, and participate in pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care planning and assessment
- Safely handle and dispose of biohazardous materials and operate common OR equipment as trained
- Access facility information systems (EPIC) to retrieve and document pertinent patient care information and tissue handling details

Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice (California) or applicable state
- Associate Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- Minimum 1 year of operating room experience; ortho, neuro, and trauma experience preferred
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- EPIC experience required
- Ability to work a rotating schedule and meet on-call requirements (at least 1 night per week and 1 weekend per schedule)
