Credentialing Specialist

Credentialing SpecialistWe are seeking a detail-oriented credentialing specialist to join our team. The credentialing specialist will be responsible for verifying healthcare professionals' credentials, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with DEA, state licensing, and malpractice insurance enrollment and/or renewals.Key responsibilities include:Verify healthcare providers' credentials, including licensure, education, training, and relevant certificationsMaintain accurate and up-to-date credentialing records for all healthcare professionalsEnsure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirementsCommunicate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other stakeholders to gather necessary credentialing informationAssist in resolving any credentialing issues or discrepancies in a timely mannerParticipate in audits and quality improvement initiatives related to credentialing processesRequirements and qualifications:Required:High school diploma or equivalentProven experience in medical credentialing within a healthcare settingStrong knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standardsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailProficient in using credentialing software and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong communication and interpersonal skillsPreferred:Prior experience with DEA, state licensing, and malpractice insurance enrollment or renewalsStrong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and functionsProven initiative and a proactive mindset—you're someone who takes ownership, problem solves, works with a sense of urgency and drives projects forwardAdaptability in fast-paced, evolving environments; comfortable navigating ambiguity and changeAlignment with our core values which are; care, accountability, respect, integrity, nurturing & grit.A positive attitude and team-first mentality that contributes to a supportive and inclusive workplace cultureBenefits and perks:Medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off (PTO) and company holidaysEqual opportunity employer: Allevio is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
