WHAT is the job: Line Cook! You will be responsible for in-depth knowledge of all menu items, recipes, plating guidelines, and sanitation/safety information. You'll prepare a variety of food items using necessary kitchen equipment such as ovens, gas stoves, griddles, and broilers. You will need to plate all dishes in accordance with DAC guidelines, assuring that each item is cooked to the Chef and Guest's specifications before serving. You'll also complete station prep lists with directions from the Chef and maintain sufficient levels of food products to ensure a smooth service period.WHERE is the job: 1325 Glenarm Place in downtown Denver. The Denver Athletic Club is across the street from the Colorado Convention Center, 2 blocks from the 16th Street Mall and a 3-minute walk from Civic Center Park.WHEN you would work: We are looking for someone for mainly evening shifts, but no late-night work is needed. Weekend availability is preferred.WHO we are looking for: The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in the restaurant industry. Banquet, fine dining, or private club experience is preferred. You must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift at least 50 pounds; and be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).
