Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift position at a Level III trauma teaching hospital, requiring 2+ years of experience and comfort treating both adult and pediatric ICU patients.

Details

• Short-term acute care, Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital with 733 staffed beds
• Respiratory Therapy department serving adult and pediatric ICU patients
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM)
• Every other weekend required, with holiday coverage as needed
• Float within scope to meet facility needs across like units
• Epic EMR used for charting
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active state or Compact RRT license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of applicable Respiratory Therapy experience
• Must be comfortable working with both adult and pediatric ICU patients
• Must pass Advanced EKG exam as part of compliance
• Epic EMR experience required
• No background or license actions within the past 12 months
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Comfortable working across adult and pediatric ICU patient populations
• Willing to float within the hospital or affiliated campuses based on staffing needs
• Scrub color requirement: solid black or black and white
• Maximum of 4 days RTO permitted, with no holiday RTO accepted
• Candidates requesting holiday RTO may request one major holiday only
• Former employees must be separated from the facility for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• Night shift travelers may extend contracts twice (maximum of three contracts total) before requiring a six-month break
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the main campus are not eligible
• Completion of required compliance modules prior to start (estimated 4-10 hours)
