Here, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact, drive innovation, and help shape the future of cannabis.About the RoleThe Payroll Specialist will be responsible for accurate and timely payroll processing including accounting, reconciliation, analysis, and compliance. Our ideal candidate is detailed oriented, analytical and methodical, with experience in payroll & system administration and deep knowledge of payroll regulations (multi-state). Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the swift and accurate completion of a bi-weekly payroll processing cycle and providing excellent customer service to all our employees.What You'll Do:Process termination report daily to ensure issuance of final pay to immediate pay state employeesManage processing, configuration, and reconciliation of all payroll data to our external payroll or financial systemsStay informed and manage the filing of all payroll legal requirements for taxes, audits, and other reportingCoordinates year-end W-2 processingPrepares payroll related financial reports as requestedEducate and communicates policies and procedures for proper payment of staffEnsures accurate processing of all garnishment ordersPrepares off-cycle checks and/or on demand checks as requested other departmentsCollege Degree Required (Bachelor or Associate)Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) credentials (preferred)Significant payroll experience in organization size of at least 1000+ employeesWhat You'll Bring:Minimum of 3 years experienceExperience with full scope of Payroll Time & Attendance softwareUnderstanding of federal, state and local hourly and salaried timekeeping rules/regulations, related to overtime and shift differentialsMulti-state payroll experienceWorking knowledge of relevant federal and state wage and hour lawsIntermediate to advanced Excel skillsExcellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skillsDemonstrated ability to convey complex information in clear and concise mannerAbility to work in an environment with competing priorities.Nevada Hiring Range$24.26 - $26 USDWhat We Offer:Career Growth OpportunitiesCompetitive Pay and BenefitsGenerous PTO and Parental Leave401(K) Retirement PlanLife/ Disability InsuranceCommunity InvolvementReferral Bonuses and Product DiscountsBenefits vary by state, role type, and eligibility.Curaleaf is an equal opportunity employer.
