Medical Collections Specialist Hybrid

Location & Schedule This position requires on-site work in Naples, FL and is part of a hybrid schedule. Fully remote work is not available. Position Summary We are seeking a Full‑time Patient Account Representative/Medical Collections Specialist to manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including benefit verification, secondary insurance filings, patient statement distribution, follow-up on unpaid claims, delinquent account collection procedures, claim resolution, appeals, and demographic insurance verification. The candidate will also assist the business office as needed and amass claims with CPT and ICD‑10 coding based on medical records. Experience High School graduate or equivalent. Medical terminology and coding courses are a plus. Two to four years of experience in third‑party reimbursement, coding, and collections. Computer experience required for billing, word‑processing and spreadsheet entry. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence. Proficiency in basic arithmetic and interpretation of rate, ratio and percent calculations, with ability to read graphs. Effective communication over the phone, in writing and in person. Continued education engagement. Utilization of recognized communication channels. Maintenance of positive interpersonal relationships with patients, co‑workers and health‑team members. Reading and comprehension of Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from insurance payers.
