Job Description
We're seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to join the Reterra Corporation team in Houston, TX! Reterra is a growing plastics recycling company that processes PET materials into valuable raw materials for reuse.
In this day-shift role, you'll help keep our 24/7 production operation running by troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial processing equipment and mechanical systems.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and recycling equipment
- Maintain pumps, augers, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, and other industrial machinery
- Diagnose mechanical problems and complete necessary repairs
- Perform preventive and routine equipment maintenance
- Inspect machinery and identify potential problems before equipment fails
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and help minimize production downtime
- Assist with electrical troubleshooting and repairs based on experience
- Safely use hand, power, and maintenance tools
- Work closely with production employees to keep equipment operating efficiently
Requirements:
- Industrial, manufacturing, mechanical, or production maintenance experience
- Experience repairing pumps, augers, gearboxes, hydraulics, or similar industrial equipment
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience with preventive maintenance
- Basic electrical knowledge or experience is a plus
- Comfortable working around industrial production equipment
- Able to work independently and respond to equipment issues
- Available for occasional evening or weekend work when equipment requires attention
We Offer:
- Primarily day-shift schedule
- Full-time opportunity with a growing recycling company
- Stable work supporting a 24/7 production operation
- Hands-on mechanical troubleshooting and repair work
- Variety of equipment — not the same repair every day
- Experience with pumps, hydraulics, gearboxes, augers, and processing equipment
- Opportunity to expand your mechanical and electrical skills
- Preventive maintenance and equipment troubleshooting experience
- Opportunity to play a direct role in minimizing downtime and keeping production moving
- Experience in plastics recycling and industrial processing
- Work that supports the reuse of materials that would otherwise become waste
- Team-oriented manufacturing environment
- Long-term opportunity with a growing operation
If you're mechanically skilled, enjoy troubleshooting machinery, and know how to keep industrial equipment running, we want to hear from you.
