Requirements

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information. The ideal candidate will be responsible for payroll processing, reconciliations, budgeting, tax management, financial reporting, and compliance-related activities.

This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple accounting functions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the integrity of financial records byaccurately recording, verifying, reconciling, and processing transactions.
• Process monthly payroll and manage bankingactivities, including reconciliations and discrepancy resolution.
• Manage sales tax processes, including tax codemaintenance in Avalara, exemption certificates, filings, payments, andreconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial forecasts using actualresults and provide variance analysis with supporting documentation.
• Coordinate and support the annual budgeting processand related schedules.
• Prepare and distribute daily sales reports andfinancial updates.
• Oversee related-party invoicing and commissioncalculations.
• Manage annual Secretary of State filings and ensureongoing regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate annual insurance renewal activities,including applications, liability certificates, budgeting,reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Track and maintain approved project budgets,ensuring updates and adjustments are properly documented.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial andorganizational information.
• Support additional accounting and financeresponsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, orrelated field.
• Proven experience in accounting, financialreporting, or corporate finance functions.
• Strong understanding of reconciliations, budgeting,payroll processing, and financial analysis.
• Experience with sales tax processes and accountingsystems/software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accountingapplications.
• Strong analytical, organizational, andproblem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability tomaintain confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Avalara or similar taxmanagement platforms.
• Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and varianceanalysis.
• Experience handling compliance filings andinsurance coordination processes.
