Summary: Responsible for the preparation of foods according to the standardized recipes, and production methods. Ensures high quality using safe, sanitary food handling techniques during preparation, service and storage and daily quality control checks. Works multiple production stations and conducts quality control checks on taste, temperature and presentation on patient, cafeteria, and catering foods. Trains and orients selected staff on food production along with safety and sanitation practices. Leads production in absence of Executive Chef according to facility. Performs other duties as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
Other information: Required - 4 years - Cook; Or - 2 years - Relevant experience with High School or equivalent; Preferred - 6 months - Food Services; Or - 6 months - Healthcare. Requires ServSafe Manager food safety certification within 1 year of hire. Education: Nonessential: * HS Graduate or Equivalent GED * Technical Program Completion or Degree Education specialization: Nonessential: * Culinary Arts Education equivalent experience: Nonessential: * Preferred - High School or Equivalent; Preferred - Technical - Culinary Credentials: Essential: * Credential Requirements in Comments Credential equivalent experience: Essential: * Required - Reference summary for details - within 1 year
