Maintenance Assistant

Renard's Cheese has a part-time, year-round Maintenance Assistant position available for a dedicated, motivated, and experienced team member. You'll be responsible for a variety of maintenance and miscellaneous duties throughout several departments within the company.

Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled preventive maintenance for buildings and equipment as assigned.
• Perform general property maintenance, including landscaping and snow removal duties.
• Record maintenance activities accurately in the MaintainX system.
• Maintain knowledge of equipment and maintenance best practices, including preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Promptly inform the supervisor of any problems or unusual issues to support timely corrective action.
• Maintain a safe, clean, positive, and organized work environment.
• Build strong working relationships with department employees and management.
• Follow and uphold Good Manufacturing Practices and all safety policies and procedures.
• Contribute as a dependable team member and support efficient workflow to complete scheduled maintenance and required projects.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow instructions and company procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive team player with good communication skills.
• Ability to work in wet or slippery conditions, loud environments, and varying temperatures.
• Basic knowledge of maintenance best practices is a plus.
