Role Summary The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery and equipment in a highly automated food manufacturing environment. This role ensures equipment operates efficiently and safely, supporting uninterrupted production and adherence to quality standards. What You’ll Do Collaboration: Work closely with production staff, supervisors, and other maintenance team members to coordinate maintenance activities and optimize production efficiency. Equipment Maintenance: Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair machinery such as conveyors, mixers, and packaging equipment to minimize downtime. Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to proactively address potential equipment issues. Emergency Repairs: Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and malfunctions to maintain safety and production continuity. Technical Expertise: Apply mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic knowledge to diagnose and resolve complex equipment problems efficiently. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, parts usage, and equipment condition, to support regulatory compliance. Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance equipment performance, reliability, and longevity. Training and Development: Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices through ongoing training and professional development. What We’re Looking For High school diploma or GED; preference given to candidates with 2 years of technical or vocational training Minimum 2 years of experience in an automated industrial manufacturing facility, ideally in maintenance for packaging or processing equipment Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Knowledge of motor controls, sensors, gearboxes, and electrical test equipment Familiarity with industrial safety, machine safeguarding, and basic industrial math Ability to read schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals Strong communication and teamwork skills Commitment to safety and quality standards Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced environment Skills and Abilities Strong attention to detail and organizational skills #J-18808-Ljbffr Riviana Foods
