Worship Leader

New England Bible Church Andover, MA Worship Leader (Part-time 10-15 hours per week, salary commensurate with experience.) NEBC is a strong community of believers who are happily following Christ, committed to Scripture, and growing in relationships with each other. We are a multi-generational church with a healthy blend of young families, empty-nesters, and retirees. We are seeking a worship leader who has a strong love for Christ and is gifted to lead our congregation in worship as our hearts are prepared to hear from God’s Word. Our worship service includes a blend of hymns and contemporary songs which are theologically rich, God-centered, and singable (“Oceans” and “Holy Forever” are beautiful songs, but hard to sing as a congregation!). In addition to time-tested hymns, we appreciate music by the Gettys, Matt Boswell, Matt Papa, CityAlight, and Sovereign Music. We are blessed to have over 25 people on our worship team: instrumentalists, vocalists, and A/V techs. We have put time and effort into designing and building a quality system which includes a digital sound board, updated mics, amps, speakers, accessories, camera (services are livestreamed), computer, sound panels throughout the sanctuary and fellowship hall, and a baby grand piano. Key responsibilities: Work with the senior pastor to plan services around themes, sermon series, holidays Select music for each service Oversee and manage the worship team Schedule weekly rotation of worship team members Organize and lead regular practice sessions Oversee the tech team (part of the worship team) to ensure that the audio, visual, and livestream elements of each service are done well and without distractions Develop future team members to lead services when the worship leader is on vacation/sick Continue building into our commitment of providing a fun and Christ-like atmosphere where members can use their gifts for Christ while being encouraged in their personal walk with God. Qualifications: Strong faith in Christ Heart to serve the local church Proficient in vocals and guitar or piano Ability to arrange music and lead a team of vocalists and instrumentalists Strong relational and leadership skills Self-motivated, organized, and a good communicator We desire a worship leader who has a tangible faith, a contagious heart for Christ, a love for the church, and a genuine desire to become part of our close-knit church family.
