Medical Surgical Registered Nurse

Full-time position near Wichita, Kansas, providing comprehensive adult patient care in an acute care setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with medical and surgical conditions.
• Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Monitor patient conditions and promptly communicate changes to providers.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and ancillary staff to ensure quality outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, discharge planning, and recovery.
• Accurately document care in the electronic medical record.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and interdisciplinary team meetings.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current Registered Nurse license in Kansas or eligibility to obtain
• Current Basic Life Support certification
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills

Preferred Skills:

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification or willingness to obtain
• Previous Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Strong assessment and clinical decision-making abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for delivering compassionate, patient-centered care
• Team-oriented mindset with excellent interpersonal skills
