Nurse Educator

Role Overview The Nurse Educator develops, delivers, and evaluates educational programs for clinical staff, focusing on oncology and hematology practices, including chemotherapy and biotherapy courses. They collaborate with nursing leadership to assess onboarding and competency programs, ensuring standardized, effective training aligned with industry standards such as ONS and NCCN. Key responsibilities include facilitating skill development, mentoring preceptors, conducting clinical site evaluations, and maintaining current nursing knowledge through meetings and conferences. They participate in pilot programs, in-service education, and directly provide patient care to stay engaged with clinical practice. Qualifications & Skills Licensed Registered Nurse with Florida licensure, preferably with a BSN degree and OCN certification (or within 12 months). Minimum five years' hematology/oncology experience and one year facilitating educational programs required. Strong critical thinking, communication, time management, collaboration, and patient-centered values are essential. Additional Requirements Travel to clinics is expected; remote work is not specified. Must pass background, drug, and nicotine screening, and comply with vaccination policies.
