Manufacturing Technician

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for a contract opportunity in Long Beach, CA.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Cut wires to specified lengths according to production drawings, BOMs, and cut sheets Verify wire gauge, color, and type meet specification requirements Bundle and label cut wires for each assembly or work order Strip wire insulation to specified lengths using approved tools Inspect stripped wire ends for nicks, cuts, or conductor damage Tin wire ends when required by specifications Apply wire labels, markers, and heat-shrink identifiers per engineering drawings Ensure all labeling accurately matches wire run designations Pre-stage connectors, terminals, lugs, and ferrules according to the BOM Crimp terminals onto wire ends using calibrated crimping tools, when authorized Perform pull tests on crimped connections in accordance with quality standards Assemble kits containing prepped wires, connectors, and hardware for each production order Stage completed kits at designated production workstations Verify kit completeness and accuracy prior to handoff Conduct visual inspections of all prepared wires and assemblies Identify, document, and segregate non-conforming materials Complete required documentation on travelers, checklists, and work orders accurately and timely

6AM-2:30PM
