Registered Nurse needed for a 13-week cardiac catheterization lab assignment in Palm Springs, California. The role involves direct patient care during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, collaborating with cardiologists and the interdisciplinary team to ensure safety and quality outcomes. Candidates will receive competitive weekly pay up to $3,060 and work in a modern Cath Lab environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiovascular procedures
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments before, during, and after procedures
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, hemodynamic status, and patient responses throughout procedures
• Administer medications and moderate sedation per physician orders and hospital protocols
• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional Cath Lab procedures
• Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and sterile fields
• Educate patients and families about procedures, recovery, medications, and discharge instructions
• Recognize and respond appropriately to emergency situations and changes in patient condition
• Document patient care accurately within the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, quality standards, and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications:

• Current California Registered Nurse license
• Minimum one year of acute care RN experience
• Recent Cardiac Cath Lab experience required
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and unexpected clinical situations
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure environments
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management abilities
• Ability to operate standard office and clinical equipment, including computers, scanners, printers, and electronic medical record systems
• Knowledge of current nursing standards, cardiovascular care practices, and evidence-based patient care
• Professional demeanor with the ability to serve as a positive role model within the healthcare team
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Master of Science in Nursing required
• RN-to-BSN or RN-to-MSN program enrollment within one year of hire with completion within five years may be considered
