We are looking for an organized Human Resources (HR) Coordinator to support day-to-day HR operations for a restaurants and catering organization in Amherst, New York. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can step in quickly, work independently, and provide dependable coverage during a busy period. The role will focus on attendance-related support, timekeeping review, and core HR administrative tasks while helping maintain accurate records and compliance standards.

Responsibilities:
• Manage employee call-off reporting and ensure attendance information is documented accurately and shared with appropriate internal teams.
• Review and verify timecards for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with company policies before payroll processing deadlines.
• Support onboarding activities for new hires, including coordinating documentation and tracking pre-employment requirements.
• Monitor pre-employment screening progress and help maintain timely communication on hiring status updates.
• Maintain employee data within HRIS platforms and ensure personnel records remain current and organized.
• Assist with routine HR administrative work, including preparing forms, updating records, and responding to general employee questions.
• Help uphold HR compliance by following established procedures, escalating discrepancies, and maintaining proper documentation.
• Provide reliable day-to-day support with minimal supervision and adapt quickly to team priorities and operational needs.• Previous experience in an HR coordinator, HR assistant, or similar human resources support role.
• Demonstrated ability to review timecards, track attendance issues, and handle administrative HR tasks with accuracy.
• Familiarity with onboarding processes, background checks, and employee record management.
• Working knowledge of HRIS systems and comfort navigating digital HR tools.
• Understanding of HR compliance practices and the importance of confidentiality in employee matters.
• Ability to learn quickly, work independently, and manage responsibilities with limited direction.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment.
