Chief Financial Officer

Randstad is assisting a construction company in Las Vegas, NV, with a search for a Chief Financial Officer. In this pivotal role, you will direct the overarching financial strategy, risk management, and administrative operations across seven business entities. The ideal candidate will bridge high-level corporate vision with day-to-day execution, driving long-term planning, leading ownership reviews, and managing key banking relationships, all while ensuring rigorous, hands‑on oversight of core accounting functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as executive advisor to ownership, driving annual budgeting, cash-flow forecasting, risk mitigation, and growth strategy across seven operating entities.
  • Oversee multi-entity month-end closes, balance sheet reconciliations, consolidated financial statements, tax filings, and annual audits.
  • Maintain precise job-cost accounting, revenue recognition, work-in-progress (WIP) reporting, and intercompany transactions.
  • Direct capital availability, banking relationships, credit facilities, and vendor payment practices while maintaining lender covenant compliance.
  • Standardize workflows, data integrity, and internal controls across all business units.
  • Oversee insurance renewals, workers' compensation claims, bonding partnerships, and third-party legal, audit, and tax advisors.
  • Mentor, delegate to, and manage an accounting and administrative team of ~5 professionals to build scalable departmental processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred)
  • Proven track record as a Corporate Controller or CFO managing multi-entity financial operations, team leadership, and strategic cash-flow management for complex organizations.
  • Deep background in construction, contracting, or field services with strong command of job costing, work-in-progress (WIP) reporting, project margins, retainage, and billing.
  • Skilled at delivering clear, actionable financial visibility to ownership, operational leaders, lenders, bonding partners, and outside professionals.
