Whitecap Search is looking for an experienced professional to lead and manage sophisticated tax engagements for high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and closely held businesses. The ideal candidate will serve as a primary relationship manager and trusted advisor, providing strategic tax planning and advisory services. The ideal candidate will serve as a primary relationship manager and trusted advisor, providing strategic tax planning and advisory services. Lead and manage sophisticated tax engagements for high-net-worth individuals, families, family offices, trusts, and closely held businesses. Review and oversee preparation of complex Individual, Partnership, Trust, Gift, and Estate tax returns. Serve as primary relationship manager and trusted advisor to high-net-worth clients and multigenerational families. Provide strategic tax planning related to income tax, estate & gift tax, wealth transfer, trusts, and business succession planning. Advise clients on tax-efficient investment structures, partnerships, pass-through entities, and philanthropic planning strategies. Manage and mentor tax staff, seniors, and managers while fostering professional development and technical growth. Research and interpret complex federal, state, and local tax issues and communicate findings to clients and leadership. Collaborate closely with attorneys, wealth advisors, bankers, and other external advisors on integrated planning initiatives. Requirements CPA required; MST, JD, or LLM in Taxation preferred. 8 years of public accounting tax experience with significant HNW client exposure. Deep experience with Individual, Partnership/K-1, Trust, Gift, and Estate tax matters. Proven ability to manage complex client relationships and lead advisory discussions. Strong technical tax research, communication, and leadership skills. Experience developing business and cultivating referral networks preferred.
