Position Overview

The organization is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Endocrinologist (MD/DO) for a part-time/per diem outpatient opportunity in Shelton, Connecticut.

This role is primarily focused on outpatient endocrinology, with minimal inpatient responsibilities . It offers an excellent opportunity for an endocrinologist seeking flexible clinical work within a collaborative, academically affiliated healthcare environment.

Experienced endocrinologists, fellows, and early-career physicians are encouraged to apply.

Essential Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a broad spectrum of endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, adrenal disorders, and pituitary conditions
• Provide comprehensive outpatient care with an emphasis on long-term disease management and prevention
• Collaborate with primary care physicians and other specialists to coordinate patient care
• Interpret diagnostic studies, including hormone assays, imaging, and metabolic testing
• Educate patients regarding lifestyle modifications, medication management, and preventive care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based clinical practices

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Residency training in Internal Medicine required
• Fellowship training in Endocrinology required
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology
• Eligible for Connecticut medical licensure
• Experienced endocrinologists, fellows, and new graduates are welcome to apply
• Strong clinical skills with a patient-centered approach to care
