Crane Operator

Clark Construction is seeking a skilled and safety-driven certified Crane Operator with experience operating Telescopic/Swing, Lattice, Articulating cranes to support our Federal projects across the Mid-Atlantic region. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, precision, and teamwork while assisting with the movement, placement, and lifting of materials and equipment on active job sites. Pay range $32 to $42 per hour Key Responsibilities Operate 130 Ton RT hydraulic crane safely and efficiently in accordance with lift plans, site conditions, and Clark Construction safety standards. Conduct daily inspections of cranes and lifting gear; promptly report any mechanical or safety issues. Rig, lift, and position materials, equipment, and structural components under the direction of site supervision. Collaborate closely with riggers, signal persons, and field leadership to ensure all lifting activities are performed safely and effectively. Maintain detailed and accurate inspection checklists, lift documentation, and operator records. Support general site operations and equipment-related tasks when crane operations are not required. Uphold all Clark Construction, OSHA safety standards and procedures on Federal job sites. Strong knowledge of rigging practices, load chart interpretation, and safe lifting procedures. Ability to read and understand lift plans, equipment manuals, and site drawings. Proven track record of maintaining a strong safety culture and working effectively within a team environment. Join us in building the future! Physical Demands of the Job This is a physically demanding role on an active construction site. You must be able to work safely around heavy equipment and construction traffic. You must be able to frequently lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds alone, and use team-lifting techniques for anything heavier. Long periods of continual standing or walking are required, along with the ability to bend, climb, kneel, and reach. Good balance and dexterity are crucial, as you will be working safely at various heights and in tight spaces. You'll need visual acuity to operate equipment and spot hazards, and the ability to hear with or without assistance to understand instructions in noisy environments. Your Work Environment on the Site You’ll regularly work outdoors and may be exposed to the elements—be it heat, cold, rain, snow, or wind. The work environment frequently involves exposure to moving mechanical equipment, high noise levels, dust, fumes, airborne particles, vibrations, and potential electrical hazards. Your safety is our number one priority, which is why you will be required to consistently wear all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and strictly follow Clark Construction's safety policies and procedures, and all applicable laws, at all locations.
