Fire Alarm Service Technician

Job Overview The Fire Alarm Service Technician is responsible for independently performing core technical functions related to the service of fire alarm systems. This position completes standard service and maintenance tasks without direct supervision, applying industry knowledge, troubleshooting skills, and best practices to ensure systems operate in compliance with applicable codes and standards. Responsibilities Perform maintenance and service of fire alarm systems independently. Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues and implement corrective actions. Complete standard service calls without direct supervision. Interpret system drawings, specifications, and technical manuals. Use hand tools and testing equipment to perform required tasks. Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, standards, and company policies. Accurately complete service reports, documentation, and inspection records. Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and supervisors. Identify potential system deficiencies and recommend corrective actions. Maintain a clean and safe work environment on job sites. Provide guidance and support to entry‑level technicians as needed. Travel to job sites as required, working in commercial, industrial, and construction environments. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 4+ years of experience as a technician in the fire and life safety industry. NICET Level I or above preferred. Denver license preferred; must obtain within 90 days of hire. Strong understanding of fire alarm systems, components, and troubleshooting methods. Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks. Strong problem‑solving and organizational skills. If this is a driving role, must have a clean driving record and an active driver’s license. Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50+ pounds. Ability to climb ladders, work in various environments, and perform tasks such as standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching for extended periods. Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites. Pay Range $50.00+ hourly, depending on experience. Anticipated close: 8.6.2026.
