Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for an Observation Unit. The RN will provide skilled nursing care to patients assigned to observation status, monitor patient needs, administer treatments and medications, and collaborate with the healthcare team to support safe and effective patient care.

Responsibilities
Assess and monitor patients assigned to observation status.
Provide direct patient care, including medication administration and treatments.
Respond to call lights and alarms and assist with patient transfers.
Process and carry out provider orders accurately and promptly.
Evaluate treatment effectiveness and participate in updating care plans.
Follow up on medication changes and order clarifications.
Communicate and collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary team members.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Requirements
2+ years of Observation RN experience required.
Active Michigan (MI) RN license required at submission.
LARA and/or Nursys must show an active Michigan/MI license.
Active AHA BLS required.
Skills checklist specific to Observation, completed within the past year.
Two supervisory references completed within the last two years.
Complete work history required.
Epic experience preferred.

Patterns Hiring Job ID #70184-0925. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
