Member of Technical Staff, Computer Vision DeepReach is building the next-generation data infrastructure for robotics. We help bridge the gap between promising robot models and real-world deployment by building the systems, data pipelines, and learning loops needed to make robots improve in production. We believe robotics progress will be driven not just by better models, but by better data engines: how data is collected, filtered, evaluated, and turned into measurable gains on real tasks. Our team works across robot deployment, teleoperation, data generation, model training, and evaluation, with a strong bias toward hands‑on execution and fast iteration. The Role As a Member of Technical Staff, Computer Vision , you will build perception systems that power robot learning, robot operation, and data generation. Your work may span multi‑camera calibration, 2D/3D perception, tracking, scene understanding, dataset generation, and vision pipelines that support real‑world robot tasks. This role is for someone who is strong technically but also practical: you can read papers, reproduce useful methods, and then adapt them to real camera setups, real environments, and real deployment constraints. You should be comfortable with both algorithms and messy hardware realities. What You’ll Do Build and improve computer vision pipelines for robotics, including perception for manipulation, scene understanding, tracking, and multi‑camera systems Work on camera calibration, synchronization, sensor integration, and data quality improvement for real‑world robot setups Develop tools and pipelines for generating, filtering, curating, and validating robotics vision datasets Support data collection and annotation workflows by improving visual quality, consistency, and task relevance Design experiments to measure how perception improvements affect downstream robotic performance Debug perception failures in real environments, including issues caused by lighting, motion blur, occlusion, calibration drift, or sensor noise Read and implement recent vision research, reproduce promising methods, and adapt them to production robotics workflows What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field Strong background in computer vision for real‑world systems Experience with one or more of the following: multi‑view geometry, calibration, visual tracking, segmentation, detection, 3D vision, point clouds, depth sensing, or video understanding Strong coding skills in Python and solid experience with PyTorch or related vision tooling Ability to move from research ideas to robust working systems Real‑world experience working with physical camera and sensor systems in robotics or similar environments High ownership mindset and comfort working in a fast‑paced startup environment Strong Signals You have deployed perception systems on physical robots You have worked with multi‑camera or RGB‑D setups in real environments You have built tools or datasets that improved downstream robot performance You can debug both the algorithm and the hardware setup when something breaks You enjoy turning ambiguous real‑world perception problems into measurable engineering progress Why Join Us Work on perception systems that directly impact robot performance in the real world Help build the data engine behind next‑generation robotics learning systems Own meaningful technical problems from raw data capture to deployment impact Join an onsite team that values speed, ownership, and strong engineering judgment Benefits include health insurance, free food, 401(k), and generous PTO Location Bay Area, CA (Onsite) #J-18808-Ljbffr DeepReach Inc.
