Geotechnical Project Engineer

Geotechnical Project Engineer We are seeking a Geotechnical Project Engineer to join our Houston, TX (Northwest Houston) office. This role manages moderate to highly complex geotechnical projects, leveraging technical expertise to exceed client expectations and advance career growth. Responsibilities Develop and maintain internal and external client relationships, including project and non‑project related face‑to‑face meetings Lead a technical or project related team Prepare proposals for moderate to complex projects Develop and execute whole scopes, and prepare engineering reports providing professional opinions and practical geotechnical solutions Manage projects (scope, schedule, budget) Perform engineering analysis using company and industry methodologies and standards Mentor junior level engineering staff Ensure compliance with corporate health and safety policies Requirements Bachelor’s degree (BS) in geotechnical, civil, or related engineering required; Master’s degree (MS) preferred Five or more years of geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing project management experience Experience managing client relationships, vendor management, and leading a team Experience with investigation and construction phase of projects Experience with Texas PK‑12 education, municipal or commercial projects preferred Texas Professional Engineer registration/licensure required Ability to lift up to 50–75 pounds on a periodic basis Desired Skills Driven for success, attention to detail, and multitasking Highly organized and able to prioritize work Strong leadership, analytical, and interpersonal skills Ability to work both independently and as a team member Ability to create, maintain, and communicate project budgets Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent problem‑solving skills Additional Information Travel up to 25% of time Competitive compensation range: $88,000 – $131,000 per year Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plan, PTO, Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP), paid holidays Pre‑employment drug screen, criminal background check, and motor vehicle report required (drug‑free workplace) Equal Opportunity Employer As an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer, all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran or disability status.
