Medical Malpractice Paralegal

Medical Malpractice Paralegal Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is seeking an experienced Medical Malpractice Paralegal to support a busy and sophisticated defense litigation practice. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience handling medical malpractice defense matters and supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation, from inception through trial. This position requires a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who can effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Support attorneys in all aspects of medical malpractice defense litigation, including case management, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation. Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, subpoenas, notices, correspondence, and discovery-related documents. Review, organize, and summarize medical records and case materials. Coordinate with clients, healthcare providers, expert witnesses, opposing counsel, and court personnel. Maintain litigation calendars, deadlines, hearing schedules, and case management databases. Assist with preparation of discovery responses, document productions, medical chronologies, and trial exhibits. Prepare trial binders, coordinate witnesses, and assist attorneys with courtroom preparation and logistics. Conduct legal and factual research as needed. Qualifications: Minimum of 5+ years of medical malpractice defense paralegal experience. Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures and court filing requirements. Experience handling complex litigation files from inception through trial. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, e-filing systems, and case management software. Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills. Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Paralegal certification preferred (FRP, NALA, or equivalent).
