Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab/EP

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures in the Cath Lab, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes. Collaborates with physicians and healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive patient support throughout diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain procedure rooms, ensuring all equipment is operational and ready for use.
• Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data during procedures, interpreting results and responding promptly to changes.
• Support patient assessment by continuously observing and documenting clinical status throughout procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians, providing updates and facilitating effective communication before, during, and after procedures.
• Manage supplies and ensure the Cath Lab is stocked with necessary case-specific materials for efficient workflow.
• Participate in quality improvement activities to elevate patient care and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher.
• Maintain an active state Registered Nursing (RN) license.
• Possess current BCLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications, maintaining them throughout employment.
• Have at least one year of clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab or Critical Care environment.
• Demonstrate strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills essential for cardiac procedures.
