Network Engineer 2

Columbia Technology Partners is seeking a Network Engineer 2 to support the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise network environments. This role focuses on advanced network architecture, security enforcement, and performance across complex datacenter and enterprise infrastructures. The ideal candidate will bring hands‑on experience with network design and security technologies, contributing to both buildout and operational support of high-performance network environments. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network architecture across LAN and datacenter environments Install, configure, and troubleshoot network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers Support network security architecture, including firewalls, access controls, and secure boundaries Monitor and optimize network performance, ensuring reliability and scalability Configure and manage IPSEC VPNs and secure communication channels Analyze network traffic and perform packet capture for troubleshooting and performance tuning Work with TCP/IP protocols, routing, and switching to maintain network integrity Support virtualization technologies, including VMware and container-based solutions Maintain documentation and track work through ticketing systems Participate in on‑call support and live operational environments Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or two (2) additional years of relevant experience may be substituted) Minimum 5 years of experience in network engineering, including LAN design, architecture, monitoring, security, and protection DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (or equivalent) Experience with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and IPSEC VPNs Requirements U.S. Citizenship is required CTP is an equal opportunity employer complying with applicable employment laws and regulations All applicants and employees are subject to random drug testing in accordance with Executive Order 12564 Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a security background investigation and polygraph DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification (or equivalent) This position requires an active security clearance with an appropriate polygraph Benefits Medical: 3 superior plans, in‑network and out‑of‑network options Vision and Dental: free and fully paid by CTP Retirement: 401(k) with 6% company contribution PTO and leave: generous paid time off, including jury duty, bereavement, and military leave Career growth: up to $10,000 for approved career‑related learning, training, education, and tuition Insurance: life and AD&D, short‑term and long‑term disability at zero cost Profit sharing bonus: end‑of‑year cash added to your bottom line Referral bonus program: tiered incentives ranging from $7,000 to $20,000 upon referral hire Salary: $130,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year #J-18808-Ljbffr Columbia Technology Partners
