Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher leading an elementary self-contained classroom focused on students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and significant cognitive disabilities. This full-time, contract role begins in the upcoming 26/27 school year, working in a dynamic environment supporting young learners in their academic and functional development. You will use evidence-based teaching methods, adapted curriculum standards, and individualized approaches to nurture each student’s growth, independence, and self-confidence.

What You'll Do:

• Provide tailored instruction for students using adapted curriculum standards
• Design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) that suit students’ unique needs
• Establish and maintain structured classroom routines and positive behavior support systems
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, related services, and families to foster student success
• Collect, analyze, and report student progress, using data to drive instruction
• Deliver differentiated instruction across academic, communication, social, behavioral, and functional skills
• Integrate visual supports, structured teaching, and assistive communication strategies
• Support the professional growth of classroom paraprofessionals

What We're Looking For:

• Valid Georgia Special Education Certification
• Background working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder
• Demonstrated expertise in IEP development and implementation
• Strong classroom management and behavior intervention techniques
• Adapted Curriculum certification or experience preferred
• Understanding of ABA principles, structured teaching, and visual/functional communication systems desirable
• Experience supporting students with significant cognitive disabilities and behavioral challenges
• Proven ability to coordinate paraprofessional roles within a self-contained setting
• Three professional references required, including one recent supervisor
