RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM
• Care for critically ill trauma patients in an 18-bed Trauma ICU unit
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2 for ICU patients, 1:4 for PCU patients
• Required to work 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period
• Float to all inpatient units excluding Maternity/NICU
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must pass open book skills exam on Friday during orientation with 90% score
• 2 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
• Self-scheduling managed by unit manager based on needs
• Dress code requires navy blue scrubs
• Artificial nails are prohibited - refusal to remove leads to contract termination
• Care for adults and pediatric patients over 15 years old with trauma injuries, sepsis, stroke, ARDS, MODS, COPD, and cardiac arrest
• Titrate vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmic drips
• Work with advanced equipment including CVPs, IABP, Impella, arterial lines, Swan-Ganz catheters, EV-1000, ICP monitoring
• Use EPIC charting system
• Read and interpret cardiac rhythms using Draeger heart monitoring system
• Must live more than 50 miles from facility and cannot be employed with CommonSpirit facilities
• First-time travelers not accepted
• Valid driver's license required
