Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach

Under the supervision of the head strength and conditioning coach, the assistant strength and conditioning coach will train student‑athletes of their assigned sports team. To enhance the physical and mental development of SCAD student‑athletes, you will instruct proper exercise technique and implement progressive programming, with a focus on increasing and developing full‑body strength, power, and endurance. In this role, you will also collaborate with the athletic training staff to monitor rehabilitation programs and post‑rehabilitation for student‑athletes. Additional responsibilities include assisting with various departmental duties, including maintenance and upkeep of training facilities. The successful candidate possesses strong interpersonal, motivational, and organizational skills. Minimum qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field At least one year of experience in college strength and conditioning Certificates, licenses, and registrations CSCCa‑SCCC or NSCA‑CSCS CPR/AED Travel required Less than 10% Work hours The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
