This large acute-care hospital operates with 400 or more licensed beds and maintains established clinical protocols to support inpatient cardiovascular disease management on an on-site basis. The institution is structured to accommodate locum tenens clinicians serving in an inpatient capacity, with clinical resources in place to facilitate effective care delivery. Support staff, including 1-2 APPs, are available throughout the coverage period.

Murfreesboro, Tennessee, located approximately 34 miles south of Nashville along I-24, offers clinicians on assignment a range of outdoor and cultural activities. The Murfreesboro Greenway System provides trails and boardwalks along the Stones River, and the Stones River National Battlefield offers historical exploration. The Discovery Center features interactive exhibits, while options for water sports, hiking, biking, golf, and horseback riding are available throughout the area. Theater performances, local breweries, and the presence of Middle Tennessee State University contribute to the character of the community, and day trips to nearby Nashville attractions remain accessible for those seeking additional options during time away from clinical duties.

Clinicians will provide inpatient cardiovascular disease management on a day shift basis from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM at this on-site facility. Clinical duties include inpatient rounding, new patient consults averaging 10-11 per day, and transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), within a unit maintaining an average census of 17 patients. Call coverage is required, including 24-hour call and STEMI call responsibilities as part of the assignment schedule. Clinicians will also supervise 1-2 APPs working concurrently during the shift, and board certification in Cardiovascular Diseases is required for consideration.
