Step into an opportunity to empower students as a Special Education Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year! We have five full-time roles available—four at the elementary level and one at a middle school—each offering a meaningful, hands-on experience within a supportive educational community. These onsite, contract-based positions run 35 hours weekly beginning August 24, 2026, and conclude June 10, 2027.

What we’re seeking:

• Active state certification or licensure for assigned caseload
• Bachelor’s degree required for those seeking an emergency teaching permit
• Previous school-based experience, with a background in urban educational environments preferred
• Demonstrated classroom and behavioral management expertise
• Fluency in best instructional practices and development of engaging, standards-driven lesson plans
• Ability to align lessons with state and district expectations, foster differentiation, and use formative assessment
• Familiarity with the needs of diverse learners and comfort navigating school district protocols
• Strong collaborative, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Reliable transportation and ability to work onsite between 8:30AM–4:00PM daily
• Completion of all Pennsylvania clearances prior to start

You’ll play an integral role in creating a positive classroom climate; designing, adapting, and delivering dynamic lesson plans; and supporting the academic, social, and emotional growth of your students. Active participation in IEP meetings, effective classroom management, and partnership with families and school leaders are all part of the daily experience.
