RN Clinical Care Coordinator – Gynecology/Oncology Specialty: Gynecology/Oncology – Clinical Care Coordination Discipline: Registered Nurse (RN) Location: Newark, New Jersey Employment Type: Contract Schedule: 5 x 8 Hours, No weekends or holidays Shift: Days Start Date: ASAP Position Overview NuWest is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as a Clinical Care Coordinator supporting gynecology and oncology patients in Newark, New Jersey. In this role, you will guide patients through their care journey, coordinating treatment, diagnostics, and follow-up while serving as a key link between patients, families, and the multidisciplinary care team. The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, and confident managing complex care plans for patients facing a cancer diagnosis. Key Responsibilities Coordinate patient care from diagnosis through treatment and follow-up, ensuring timely scheduling of appointments, procedures, imaging, and lab work Serve as the primary clinical point of contact for patients and families, providing education on diagnoses, treatment plans, and expected side effects Assess patient needs and symptoms, perform telephone and in-person triage, and escalate concerns to the provider as appropriate Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the multidisciplinary team to develop and update individualized plans of care Review and manage referrals, test results, and authorizations to prevent delays in care Educate patients on medications, treatment regimens, and self-care, and reinforce adherence to the plan of care Connect patients with supportive services, including social work, financial counseling, nutrition, and palliative care resources Document accurately in the EMR and maintain compliance with all applicable policies, regulations, and HIPAA requirements Required Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in New Jersey 2+ Years experience in Oncology Must be able to pass required background checks and drug screening
