Manufacturing Engineering Technician

What You Will Do: Perform technical tasks under the direction of an engineer or manager. Prepare detailed estimates of quantities and costs of materials and labor required. Interact regularly with customers and co-workers. Maintain records for company and customer. Follow all safety policies and company-wide safety requirements. Read and follow written and/or verbal directions and use a computer to communicate, create, and access information. Minimum Qualifications: This safety-sensitive role may be subject to employer or customer drug testing. One year experience with the following: Performing mechanical assembly work. Operating a manual lathe/mill. Welding (mig and stick). Single and 3‑phase electrical work. Ability to interpret machine drawings and electrical schematics. Working knowledge of hand & power tools, overhead crane. Speak, read, and write English fluently. Self‑starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work overtime and Saturdays as required. Immigration sponsorship not offered for this role. Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hard hat, hearing protection, and respirators. May stand, walk, stoop, sit, bend, twist, grasp, lift, climb. Requires visual and hearing acuity. Activities occur indoors and outdoors. Extreme heat: temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions, such as wind and humidity. Hazards: includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current or exposure to chemicals. Atmospheric conditions: one or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation. Oils: potential air and/or skin exposure to oils and other cutting fluids.
