INSTRUCTIONAL SYSTEMS SPECIALIST

DutiesAnalyze educational and instructional problems to establish design, development, and evaluation criteria for enlisted medical education and training programs.Convert military service training requirements into measurable learning objectives, lessons, units, courses, and consolidated training programs.Develop learning maps, conduct learning analyses, organize course content, and establish the sequence, duration, emphasis, and required proficiency level for each unit of instruction.Develop, review, and revise instructional materials using instructional systems development principles, adult learning theory, training research methods, and instructional technology.Design and coordinate program control documents, lesson plans, training texts, multimedia products, computer-based instruction, and other training materials.Coordinate curriculum products with program leadership, instructional staff, subject-matter experts, evaluation personnel, and participating in military services to obtain approval and ensure compliance with applicable accreditation standards.Plan and conduct studies to evaluate student performance, instructional effectiveness, and education and training program outcomes.Design, review, and validate testing plans and assessment instruments that measure student achievement of established instructional objectives.Analyze examination results, test items, and survey data to determine validity and reliability and recommend curriculum changes that support continuous process improvement.
