Stock Manager

Stock ManagerWe are looking for an experienced Senior Stock Manager to take ownership of end-to-end warehouse operations across a diverse and fast-moving product range including books, gifts, accessories, and musical instruments.This is not a traditional stock control role. We are looking for someone who actively improves how a warehouse operates, optimising flow, layout, picking efficiency, and accuracy through data, structure, and hands-on leadership.You will lead warehouse teams and team leaders across split shifts, ensuring consistent performance, strong communication, and clear operational priorities across goods-in, picking, replenishment, and returns.We are actively integrating AI and automation into all areas of the business and expect candidates with mindset focused on improving efficiency and deliver a better user experience.Key ResponsibilitiesLeading warehouse teams and team leaders across multiple shiftsOwning end-to-end stock flow: receiving, storage, picking, replenishment, and returnsUsing data to drive warehouse performance and decision-makingDesigning and improving warehouse layout, pick paths, and stock placementManaging replenishment strategy between bulk storage and pick facesEnsuring high levels of stock accuracy and operational controlDriving continuous improvement across all warehouse processesRequired ExperienceStrong experience in multi-SKU warehouse environmentsProven track record of improving warehouse efficiency, not just managing stockExperience using data (including heat maps or similar tools) to drive stock placement decisionsHands-on knowledge of pick path optimisation and warehouse flowStrong understanding of replenishment systems and stock movement between bulk and pick locationsExperience managing safety stock, stock availability, and demand variabilityConfident leadership of teams and team leaders across multiple shiftsNice to have:Experience in e-commerce fulfilment or retail distributionBackground in publishing, books, or music-related distributionExperience working in complex, high-volume multi-SKU warehouse environmentsExperience handling mixed product types (small items, fragile goods, higher-value stock)Key Strengths We Value:Ability to interpret warehouse data and translate insights into actionable improvementsExperience improving pick rates, travel time, and overall warehouse productivityStrong understanding of stock accuracy, cycle counting, and root cause analysisPractical experience improving receiving and returns processesAbility to manage both fast-moving small items and larger or fragile productsComfortable working closely with systems (WMS/ERP) and continuously improving processesMuse Group Empowers Music MakersWe create the world's most popular apps for playing, recording and composing music.
