Test Automation Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Test Automation Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Milford Mill, MD . The ideal candidate must have experience with Worksoft Test Automation, automated testing frameworks, and quality engineering methodologies.

Rate Range: $57/hour to $61/hour ; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Test Automation Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Worksoft to support quality assurance initiatives.
• Execute automated and manual testing activities to validate application functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and QA teams to identify testing requirements and improve test coverage.
• Analyze test execution results, identify defects, and provide actionable recommendations to improve system performance and quality.
• Support technical test execution, defect tracking, and defect resolution activities throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Maintain and enhance automation frameworks to improve testing efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
• Participate in Agile team discussions, sprint activities, and quality engineering reviews.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in test automation, quality assurance, or software testing roles.
• Hands-on experience with Worksoft Test Automation .
• Strong understanding of:

  • Technical Test Execution
  • Test Case Development
  • Defect Management
• Experience creating and executing automated test scripts.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working within Agile development environments.
• Familiarity with testing methodologies, automation frameworks, and quality assurance best practices.
• Knowledge of continuous testing and CI/CD processes.
• Experience supporting enterprise application testing initiatives.

Pay Details: $57.00 to $61.00 per hour
