Lead Project Manager

For customer equipment, facilities, or infrastructure projects, the Lead Project Manager is responsible for project delivery, profit & loss accountability, and customer satisfaction through management of project related activities and resources. Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy and is guided by established policies and procedures.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for oversight of assigned projects and direct or indirect leadership of project resources for small to medium sized projects that may include equipment-only, product suite, or non-turnkey projects.
• Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute work.
• Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.
• Uses technical experience and analytical thinking.
• Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
• Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
• Leads projects with low to moderate risks and resource requirements.
• Explains information; develops skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field.
• Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in the power industry or in project management

Eligibility Requirements:

• Ability and willingness to travel up to 15% domestically to GE Vernova and customer locations.
• This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.

Desired Characteristics:

• Nuclear power industry experience
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
• Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
• Project management skills
• PMP Certification a plus
